Find useful references
Search with a combination of subject, style, medium, palette, and intended use, or provide a Pinterest board URL.
- Subject: product, person, setting, or concept
- Style: flat vector, anime, editorial, photography, and more
- Visual qualities: contrast, whitespace, softness, or futurism
- Use: cover, card image, poster, or video background
Extract a visual direction
Use representative references to summarize composition, color, texture, light, and mood. Treat the result as direction rather than a request to copy the source.
Three asset modes in Workbench
Define the role of each asset before generation.
- Learn style: reference composition, palette, and texture.
- Embed: include a logo, product, or specified element.
- Edit base: modify the selected image as the starting point.

Confirm licensing, attribution, and commercial-use terms before using external images.
Turn references into a visual brief
A reference image is not a complete requirement. Translate references into a brief that the team can review, and distinguish required elements from mood-only inspiration.
- Purpose and canvas ratio
- Subject, background, and information hierarchy
- Palette, contrast, lighting, and material
- Typography or safe text areas
- Required brand elements
- Compositions, characters, or protected elements that must not be copied
